The autumn cycle of training programme as part of the project Continuous professional training of emergency medicine workers, was opened by the exercise for pre-hospital emergency medical service drivers. The exercise was held from 20 to 21 September 2019 in Valpovo and was conducted by national instructors led by Dejan Hil.
As part of an EMS team, drivers must be familiar with basic emergency medical procedures and equipment in order to contribute to the team care of an emergency patient. A total of 30 drivers from the Bjelovar-Bilogora, Osijek-Baranja, Sisak-Moslavina, Virovitica-Podravina and Vukovar-Srijem Emergency Medicine Institute of counties passed the EP3 training programme.
The project Continuing professional training of emergency medicine workers is co-financed by resources from the European Social Fund and implemented by the Croatian Institute of Emergency Medicine with the aim of maintaining and improving the knowledge and skills of emergency medicine workers, while at the same time advancing healthcare in the Republic of Croatia and improving access to high quality health services.
